Grace app.
Aug. 23rd, 2014 10:03 pmAre you over 16? Oh yes.
Characters Played Here: Trauma resident boggart, Skye resident hacker disney princess, and Erica resident bad decision maker and werewolf.
Character: Grace "Paige"
Series/Canon: Once Upon A Time
From When? Just after breaking the curse but before Jefferson has found her.
History: Here you go. Here's links to Paige's too because this wiki is a mess and I apologize.
But then, the series is a mess both continuity wise and everything wise so honestly.
Personality:
Grace is a child who grew up in a single parent home, and her best friend was her father. She is a kind, energetic, surprisingly astute little girl, the limited interactions we see with people other than her father show her both unafraid of other people and engaged in the world around her.
She's imaginative, having teaparties with mismatched dolls like they're the height of royal fashion and playing chasing games in the woods. Jefferson and Grace's entire life was built around the two of them being a team, so aside from her next door neighbors who watched her and interactions in town, she tended to stick to herself and her father. She interacted with other children, but not frequently. She's very clearly comfortable playing alone.
Unlike most children her age she seems to have no problems following her father's rules even when curious, though considering their close relationship she probably hasn't had many reasons to disobey in any real way. She seems fairly honest with how she feels and only even hedges it a little when trying to explain not needing a toy she wanted after all. She also seems to be very aware of at least her father's moods, and is willing to act mature even in the face of not getting what she wants. In fact the only time she becomes upset is when she is told her father is leaving because of the queen's visit. She very clearly has, and keeps faith in her father considering even when the curse is broken she still is sure he didn't not come back on purpose. The idea that he would intentionally leave and not come back doesn't seem to be a real thought for her, or at least not one she shows in any way.
When under the curse, she lived as a normal little girl with a mother and father, in a small town, without Jefferson. Because, once again, the curse takes away your happy ending, and what would give Grace a happy ending? Being reunited with her father. Game. Set. Match.
So modern…Grace. I'm gonna call her Grace cause it's confusing otherwise, seems to have friends, be engaged with the world around her and actively takes charge in attempting to find her father once the curse has lifted. Grace is both artsy and determined, putting up posters like she was looking for a lost dog. She very clearly wants to get back to Jefferson as much as he wants to get back to her. I mean. Honestly. You watch that scene and don't bawl like a baby.
Everything you see of modern her is very similar to fairytale her, a very wide eyed, sweet, imaginative little girl. And she's freaking cute to boot. She clearly knows Henry and is likely in the same class he is, which means she has Ms. Blanchard as a teacher. She's gotten more interaction with others thanks to Storybrook and so is less of a loner than she was, though she's still perfectly content on her own. She seems well adjusted all things considered, and will be more than happy to be reunited with her father. The fact that she'll have Henry, Emma, and Regina here also should prove interesting because she may actually be able to get the whole story of her father's life before, because she clearly wasn't totally aware if at all, and Henry is her friend at least in passing so it'll be nice to have familiar faces.
Why do you think your character would work in this setting?
Baby girl is fluxing in, and she'll be around to be adorable and cause trouble and be eternally confused by the multiple father facetwins. Also have tea parties with the many strange animals collected by the other characters.
What will your character do for work? School for Gracie! Also she'll probably be that adorably cheerful helper at her father's store.
Inventory: She'll have her backpack and be in her school uniform. So school books, sketch book, colored pencils, her lunch box, and random other trinkets a ten year old would keep in their lunch box.

Dear Diary,
Isn't it a funny sort of thing to go speaking to a book as if you're supposed to be friends with it already?
It's very hard to be friends with a book. It doesn't speak back.
Mom and
My parents bought me you to help, they said. Doctor Archie is very busy and can't see everyone, they said. Since everyone's been remembering things, it's been very strange. So I guess a lot of people would need to speak to him.
I don't need to speak to anyone, I just need to find my papa.
I know he's here. I know it.
But I don't know what a silly little book is supposed to do about that.
